Last Monday, on my 21st birthday, I was officially sworn in as Deputy Mayor of the Huon Valley Council by completing my Declaration of Office. I look forward to representing the constituents that trusted me with this position and also bringing a new perspective to the Council.

It was great to join Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson with the Zayed Sustainability Prize at #COP27 in conversation with “Youth at the Mic” talking on youth engagement, renewable energy transition, the positives of COP, the negatives, and the role of local communities in influencing national governments.

Congratulations to H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Director General of the #ZayedSustainabilityPrize, on being named President Designate of #COP28UAE.

It’s great being back at ADSW in the United Arab Emirates, being on the big screen at the Opening Ceremony and having a big reflection on my career with the Zayed Sustainability Prize, 6 years on from when I was on this stage accepting an award that changed my life.
