Cool mouse study about using fomepizole with APAP toxicity. These pictures are so cool, really shows the potential is there. Still need a lot more data in humans, but I like the idea. This paper led to great discussion ⁦Dallas Tox⁩ journal club.

Random question I feel like I should know the answer to. Can you give NAC you get from a drug store to treat APAP toxicity? Interesting discussion brought up about places that don’t have NAC on formulary but a employee has a bottle of NAC. Should we give it?

Great info on methadone for analgesia versus withdrawal prevention. These patients still need high doses of full agonist for severe pain. We underdose due to fear of dosing or stigma. #ACMT2023

In this study, plant identification apps were used to identify edible vs toxic plants in the American Midwest. Accuracy for identification was 58%. Out of 11 potentially toxic specifies of plants, 5 were identified as edible by at least one app. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
