Hogyoku-tei in the Shozan Garden is a guest house built in the 1950s by the founder of the Nishijin textile industry "Shozan," and is a magnificent and gorgeous building that displays the designs of Shoin-zukuri and Sukiya-zukuri. #峰玉亭 #しょうざん庭園

Tokyonobo My visit to #Japan last year was all about sighting the curated pines all over. In little home gardens, the imperial palace grounds, at pagoda premises and then serendipitously at a bonsai workshop at Chome Marunouchi

Pine trees around the Imperial Palace (former Edo Castle) (first three). In the third, pay attention to the bonsai-like pine tree on top of the stone wall of the former Edo Castle's main tower. The last shows a pine tree with a typical curvaceous beauty, taken in Hama-rikyu.
