This is a devastating loss for Dr Wilkoff's colleagues, mentees, and the field of cardiac pacing. He was a giant, and a gentleman. I know his family will be consoled by their deep faith, and also by his legacy - so many people in the field of EP have been touched by his wisdom.

Phenomenal group of future ACSs, especially Barker’s own Christina Tamargo, Armani Hawes, and Jona Mata, MD. Thrilled for the next generation of Osler housestaff to learn from these incredible physicians, leaders, and people. Kudos to Natasha Chida, MD MSPH for assembling such a stellar team 💪🏻

AF ablation in PulHTN is a reasonable rhythm control strategy with a long-term freedom from AF of 70% but represents a higher risk group with potentially higher risk of peri-procedural complications Our multi-centre study lead by Tom Boyle HeartRhythm heartrhythmjournal.com/article/S1547-…

#epeeps Just 1 week until the VT Symposium! There's still time to register for the premier conference for state-of-the-art education on the pathophysiology & treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. Attend in person or virtually through the livestream. vtsymposium.com

Compelling argument: Event rates will be low in both arms. (Obvious when you think some patients are taken off AC entirely after ablation already). We really deserved a PARTNER-like portfolio of trials for LAAO, with large trials for each quadrant of bleeding/stroke risk.

EPeeps - what are your experiences with ACT goals when changing equipment or institutions? We learned this year that ACT is in the eye of the beholder. ACT Targets during Atrial Fibrillation Ablation - Heart Rhythm heartrhythmjournal.com/article/S1547-…

Impressive work from Andrew Andreae Jonathan Piccini, MD, MHS . Seems obvious to program primary prevention patients at least as conservatively as MADIT-RIT. Looks like 47% had history of VT/VF. Individualized approach needed in these. What’s the clinical? Tolerated with LVAD? Hard choices.

VT entrainment. Some of you want to learn it from the beginning. Some just want the punchline. Here's a direct link to the climax of the video, with examples of all the possible entrainment locations (isthmus, entrance, exit, bystander, outer loop, etc) youtu.be/XykkZNLm9bc?si…
