Welcome Dr. Ramzi Dudum who joins #UCSFCardiology faculty in July. Dr. Dudum completed his cardiology fellowship at Stanford Medicine and is currently finishing a postdoctoral training in implementation science and population health. We are excited to have him come to UCSF Health!

This is a devastating loss for Dr Wilkoff's colleagues, mentees, and the field of cardiac pacing. He was a giant, and a gentleman. I know his family will be consoled by their deep faith, and also by his legacy - so many people in the field of EP have been touched by his wisdom.

Compelling argument: Event rates will be low in both arms. (Obvious when you think some patients are taken off AC entirely after ablation already). We really deserved a PARTNER-like portfolio of trials for LAAO, with large trials for each quadrant of bleeding/stroke risk.
