Sad to hear St Paul’s own Loni Anderson has died. She was terrific on WKRP. She used to come in to the KQ studios a couple of times a year. She was always terrific. A very nice person. I have a story to tell in my next post. Loni and Bobcat in studio at KQ.

This is my latest Twins report…. They played Detroit…. What do you think happened…

I was just watching a national news program and Minnesota was ranked number 5 as the worst place to live in America based on the highest tax rate in the country, violence in the downtown areas of Minneapolis and St Paul and very poor job opportunities. This breaks my heart.

I am always amazed with social media. You report seeing something and to some people YOU are to blame. Understand something, I was reporting how sad that story made me and just a few of you act like I wrote it. I LOVE MN. The one thing I do HATE about it is constant attack mode!

Kathryn and I just bought a new home in MN. If I hated MN that would not have happened. I do wish that “my way or the highway “ bullshit would stop. We all have lived different lives. Tolerance is a good thing. That’s why I didn’t respond fuck off to a couple of replies.

I had an important function I needed to attend tonight. I got home just in time to watch the Twins win a big game. Detroit is a damn good team and the Twins handled them! Maybe it’s me! I should be limited to the 8th and 9th innings only! Great win boys!

I had another day when I couldn’t watch the Twins, another blowout win against Detroit! I expect to get a call from the Pohlads asking me to stop watching their team completely. Tom doesn’t watch, Twins win. On the same day Stern gets fired and I get asked to F off!

People are asking me for a take on Howard Stern. This is one of those times I like to lean positive. Howard is not my kind of guy but the real story is you! Because of your unwavering support of my morning show Stern got slaughtered by KQ. That’s the story to me! You beat him.

I should add the man who directed the show, Dave Hamilton, KQ program director said from day 1 “Tom, you’ve got a 40 share! Ignore him because he can’t beat you anyway! I was surrounded by great people! I am indeed a lucky man!

I was sitting here thinking “my afternoon is clear, I can watch the Twins” I then realized “ it’s moving day! The Twins aren’t playing today.” The baseball gods have slighted me! I am sure at some point I will get booked all day tomorrow and miss the Twins yet again. I hope not!

Today is the day Tom Barnard podcast moves its location. We have been in that building for 10 years. We are moving to a location closer to the house Kathryn and I just bought. It will be great! The last day of the old location today, the first day of the new studio Monday.
