As a pastor, one of my beefs with Canon Press is that they publish books by men who think guys like Spangler are “good.” I think it’s fair to say that we can’t platform these voices, and then lament when their influence harms the church.

I highly recommend this book as it will help pastors better understand the therapeutic, cultural context of the people they shepherd and counsel. This is also an important book for parents (especially if you have daughters). Not for the faint of heart!
