Sad to hear of the passing of Stan Fischer, who was not only a great economist, but perhaps the greatest teacher of economic talent this century. (His nearest rivals may be his own dissertation advisers, Samuelson and Solow.) finance.yahoo.com/news/stanley-f…

It was 45 years ago today, June 1, 1980, when the great Ted Turner launched CNN, the first 24/7 television news network, and he changed the way people get their news. I’m so proud I have been with CNN for 35 of those 45 years. Thanks to Ted and to all my wonderful colleagues.

Host: What is your thought on the ban of foreign students, you were one of those kids, right? Elon Musk: I think we want to stick to talking about spaceships. Host: Oh, okay. I was told that any topic is good. Musk: No, well... no

It was a profound honor delivering the #ASCO25 President's Address during yesterday's Opening Session. Together, we are defining cancer care for generations to come with hope fueled by the many successes we achieve together at ASCO. Full address: connection.asco.org/do/2025-presid…

You can argue the federal government shouldn’t spend as much on Medicaid. You can argue that CBO’s projections of people losing health coverage are over-estimated. You can’t argue that cuts to Medicaid of over $700 billion over a decade won’t result in people losing coverage.

FLOT is rough and I’m not completely abandoning Checkmate 577…but D-FLOT is exciting!!

On a positive note, I really like the new review scoring criteria! It formalizes what was always the main score driving points (significance and approach).
