Naval medics test ‘air ambulance’ concept at sea for the first time by HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Richmond, flying paramedics/doctors to the casualty, providing life-saving aid on the frigate then transferring the patient to the carrier's hospital. 🚁🚑

Among many highlights this week was a few hours onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth & a chat with the excellent medical team including Surg Lt Cdr Nathaniel Roocroft (DPMO) who worked with Greenwich Hospital to produce 'Flagship Performance' - a superb, practical guidebook on health & performance.

Ukrainian surgeons have been working with UK military surgical teams from Defence Medical Services, The Royal College of Surgeons of England to ensure the best possible outcomes for casualties. 🇺🇦#StandWithUkraine🏥🚑
