I really appreciate everyone calling and sending their condolences as news of Nick’s passing spread. Nick’s presence and impact in our lives just won’t be replaced. For those of you who’ve asked about arrangements and making a donation, please read below.

So thankful for the time I was able to spend with Tommy over the years. We had many meals together, watched lots of baseball together, and I loved hearing him tell the same stories over and over. He became a friend, and was so kind to me and my family.

His class, integrity and heroic stature are the reasons Hank Aaron was my favorite player when I was a kid. They don’t make ‘em like Hammerin’ Hank any more. RIP to Baseball’s all-time home run king. (Graphic courtesy of The Dan Patrick Show).

It’s #NationalPetDay so I have to give Walter some special play time today because he’s not quite spoiled enough.

It’s Albuquerque Isotopes Opening Night, marking the return of professional sports and large events to New Mexico. There’s so much symbolism to all of this. But it’s not the same without my friend Nick LoBue by my side. 😔 RIP, pal.

Like so many, Vin Scully taught me to love the game. I’m glad I had a chance to meet him and thank him for all he meant to me. And for putting me to sleep so many nights with my little red transistor radio under my pillow.

When Sophie was little, there was a Dodger game on the tv. I said to her, “Do you hear that man on the television? He used to put me to sleep when I was your age.” She said, “That man was your babysitter?” I paused for a moment and said, “Yes, in many ways he was.” RIP Vin.

Anyone know how to get in touch with an actual human being at CenturyLink helpdesk? Their customer service is very poor!
