Been a special week so far for the Topleys but with so much more to come! Went to Imperial War Museum in London and was greeted by HMS Ramillies 15in Guns - which my father fired & was in charge of. Lord's Cricket Ground Royal Navy Cricket Much more to come as we remember VE, Dunkirk & VJ.


So proud that my Father's heroic WW2 medals & endeavours are are being showcased at Lord's Cricket Ground today & for the Summer. Thomas Topley RN was DSM Bar2 & served in Sino-Japanese Conflict, BeachParty at Dunkirk & at 2nd Battle of Sirte 'One of only 5 men' in all the Great Wars

Absolutely unbelievable amazing story Well done Lord's Cricket Ground for highlighting this manβs bravery Awarded 3 x DSO medal !!! One of only 5 men in the history of our great armed forces to have been awarded it 3 times!

So pleased for a former Royal Hospital School pupil, Charlie Allison, who has not only played at The Oval for the 1st time but made his maiden 1st Class ton - wonderful & hugely important knock in the context of the game. As a former RHS pupil too, I look forward to π€ his hand tomorrow!


It' early, just 9am & already at Surrey Cricket v Essex Cricket Day4. Looking forward to a terrific day's cricket - how will Day4 pan out? All four results could be possible! Visit to the surface in due course to see any footmarks for Simon Harmer? Sur need another 386 runs

Then on to Lord's Cricket Ground for a special full tour which included a visit to the middle with the great Karl McDermott - thank you so much Karl! Very special day! Also saw a bit of Topley around the place!π Boony & Sue had never been here to the Mecca! Just beautiful - Thx MCC!


Next day off to Surrey Cricket where Boony & Sue had never visited! So Hd Groundsman, Lee Fortis, was so generous with his time taking them out to his Middle! How wonderful-Thx Lee. Rory Burns Jordan Clark & Jason Roy were on hand to welcome the Sale Cricket Club Groundsβnβ
