While obviously yes we should be looking ahead, acting like 10 years ago isn’t relevant, rather than when Russia started its invasion of Ukraine seems a little wilfully opaque.

Winter Deployment 25' supplying some great imagery, as usual. VIKING mortar line, 29 Commando with 105mm guns, MERLIN HC4 with Air Portable Fuel Container and a couple of Anduril GHOST 4. An unknown number of GHOSTs are in use as short range recce assets within Commando force.

Just got off the phone w/ John Healey — the UK Secretary of State for Defense — who confirmed they will increase defense spending to 2.5% of GDP, and eventually much further. A strong step from an enduring partner. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

Interesting read but there's also a very big difference between buying major COTS platforms from America and getting sovereign capability at great VfM because initial R&D investment took place in the States. TL;DR: Don't throw baby out with bathwater

The UK has struck a £30M deal with Anglo-American company Anduril to supply advanced attack drones for Ukraine, boosting Defense of Ukraine capabilities to tackle Russian aggression in the Black Sea. This follows over 10,000 drones delivered to the front line so far. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇦

Oops. Daily Mail seems to have missed some rather major events of the last year unless we’ve gone into a coalition, reinstated Rishi as PM and I just haven’t noticed?
