Maybe it's time to re-think "publications"... Pandemic-response showed how "open science" and "science for society" need to be promoted, and don't always go "1st Author publication"... Why don't we take this chance ? There are many ways to contribute to Science... DORA

Our paper on the SeisBench Toolbox for Machine Learning in Seismology, devoloped by Jannes Münchmeyer and J Woollam has appeared in SRL doi.org/10.1785/022021… ,including many datasets, enabling easy training&benchmarking of seismology ML models. Funded by Helmholtz AI pilot

116 years ago today: the 1906, M7.9 San Francisco Earthquake. With only a few local descriptions of the timing of shaking and archaic seismograms from around the world, how can we estimate its hypocenter location?

Rupture processes of the two Turkey major events. The M7.8 mainshck first ruptured NE direction for over 100km, then departed from hypocenter to the SW. The M7.6 event ruptured bilaterally, and its last subevent E4 activated a NE-trending subfault. Very complex ruptures.
