Yesterday, I traveled to Olympia with three superintendents from the ESD 105 Region. During our meeting, we met with Senator Lisa Wellman and 8 other legislators. The meetings focused on special education (1bil) and MSOC funding (175mil). #WeAreGreaterTogether #ESD105

Wednesday night, our district held a PowWow at our high school. We had great attendance and representation from our Native and Indigenous communities. #WeAreGreaterTogether

Today, I was invited to one of our campuses to participate in Bubble Day in observance of Autism Awareness Month. Students and staff blew bubbles that represented the uniqueness of our students with Autism that allowed them to soar to new heights. #AutismAwareness

For Literacy Night, our district partnered with our Educational Service District Center to host Grammy Award Winning Lucky Diaz to sign books and discuss literacy. We also had food and Paletas for our community. The event had awesome attendance. #WeAreGreaterTogether

Today Josh Perez, a motivational speaker from Texas visited Toppenish. His message stressed the importance of pushing through small, average, and big dreams. He also expressed the importance of community and working together. It was a great message! #WeAreGreaterTogether

We started our Saturday morning with service. I want to thank everyone that participated in the Toppenish CSN community clean up. I also want to thank Mr. Jimenez for organizing the awesome event, Washington Beef for providing lunch, and Mr. Saldivar. #WeAreGreaterTogether
