Welcome back to the summer term and undoubtedly the busiest time of year.
Thankfully, our site team have provided more outdoor seating over the holidays, so students can take a break from all the fun and events!

It was staff karaoke fun in the Old Hall at lunchtime today - Β£1 for students to laugh non-stop, hear some of the worst singing ever and all proceeds towards the Year 11 prom!

On the night of Thursday 3rd April, the door to the Pavilion was left open for DofE students, camping on site, to use the facilities.
The following morning, a crime scene was discovered.

Dr Sweet has surpassed herself, with her homemade mole cake, which she baked especially for her Year 13 Chemistry class for their subject immersion day today π₯Ή
We're sure that the 5 hours Dr Sweet spent on making this cake will go down really well shortly, with a βοΈ π
Miss Medhurst was overjoyed to receive a cake from her year 11 students today (it's their final day), decorated with her three favourite things - Jimmy Carter, Diet Coke and Taylor Swift (plus a picture of the students who also wrote 'sorry for talking so much') ππ
There was an amazing turnout at the Holocaust witness talk yesterday.
Judith Hayman spoke to students about her familyβs persecution when the Nazis took over Austria in 1938, how her mother escaped to England and many of her relatives died in death camps πͺ

We were thrilled to welcome The Guide Dogs to school at the end of last week for a special assembly with Year 9, marking the launch of our exciting fundraising efforts! We'll see them again towards the end of the summer term, when weβll proudly present the total funds raised!πΎ
A level Religious Studies students celebrated their final philosophy lesson with a philosophersβ tea party.
Each student came as a different philosopher with a clue for to guess their identity.
Needless to say, they did an amazing job; the RS team will miss them π₯Ή Good luckπ€
Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the Y13 leavers Dartington Celebration Evening last night.
This year group have already made their mark in assemblies by being the loudest and proudest year group ever when singing the School Song; here they are singing the best and final verse π
Here's this year's teams of determined and intrepid explorers, getting ready for the off at 7am tomorrow.
They're now at the Ten Tors camp double checking routes and getting those all important team tops out!
We have 3 x 35 teams, 1 x 45 and 1 x 55 π

Well, what a Ten Tors weekend it was with all five of our teams crossing the line, albeit depleted in some cases.
Our 55 mile team, in collaboration with Honiton CC absolutely stormed it, to finish at 1.30pm, followed by our three 35 mile teams and then our 45s.
Well done all !
Our Y8 rounders team attended the Central Venue League tournament on Tuesday. This marked the very first time they had played together but they worked brilliantly as a team to secure two fantastic wins π₯π₯and a well-earned draw!
A big well done to everyone - keep it up! π
We're going to enjoy some peace and quiet over the next couple of days as our year 9s have departed for their residential to Condover Hall in Shropshire! π₯³
And, wow, what an amazing location π
They have a fun-packed itinerary (archery, high ropes, zip etc) - have fun you lot π
Grace Carter in year 8 took part in the South West regional summer championships over the weekend.
Grace not only achieved a number of personal bests and reached multiple finals but she also won two medals - a bronze medal in 50m Freestyle and a silver medal in 100m Freestyle!

Well, our year 9s made it to their residential and no doubt, having had a hearty brekkie this morning, they are now fully ensconced in their exciting activities, whether that be hanging by a cable on the high ropes or shooting each other with lasers !
