The remarkable wings of Ryothemis fuliginosa, the butterfly dragonfly. While most of the time they look a dark black, they shimmer with iridescence when viewed from above. Males display this iridescence to eachother when fighting.

Here's your regular reminder that the Diamondback Squid (Thysanoteuthis rhombus) lays eggs in these massive egg masses that look like giant pink slinkies. These egg masses can be .6 to 1.8 m in length with a diameter of 11 to 30 cm and they can contain 35,000 to 75,000 eggs!
