I’m immensely proud that today I unveiled our new LGBTQIA+ stained glass window in Belfast City Hall. This is hands down one of the highlights of my term as Lord Mayor, sending a powerful message that our city is an inclusive, welcoming city.

Seriously, older people are already incredibly vulnerable to abuse, the thought of how this will affect older trans people, especially ones in care homes or sheltered accommodation with shared facilities, is awful.

pride month approaches tomorrow but I need you all to not forget that it is also Romani History Month. don't forget to take your time to learn and uplift our voices, especially queer Roma amidst your events.

Tomorrow is the first day of both Pride Month *AND* GRT History Month, so as is my personal tradition as the custodian of an organisation for LGBT Gypsies and Travellers I have prepared... Absolutely nothing.

Actually what we do have for Pride Month are these flags, 5x3ft so perfect for festivals and parades or just wearing like a cape, homemade on my own personal sewing machine, and for £20 (plus postage which might be steep if you're outside of the UK) you can have one too:
