Arek Hersh filmed in 2025 beside the “Auschwitz Tree” at Lakes School, the site of where 300 Jewish survivors stayed in 1945, and a photograph of a 15 year old Auschwitz survivor Arek taken just a short distance away from the same spot near Windermere eighty years ago.

It has been quite a couple of weeks for those connected to The Windermere Children. UK Ambassador to Israel Simon Walters, Prime Minister Starmer, 2nd and 3rd Generation, television, radio….but all roads lead back to 2005, the first meeting in Manchester with the Three Amigos

Grateful to the 4 news schools or alumni cohorts who launched their #HtFMeUs projects by joining our online workshop - plus the 2 who will access a recording for their groups later this week. Look forward to bio poems, post-its & RAGs & to seeing where the journey takes you!
