BAFTA That was a lovely speech from Samantha Morton. I can't recommend highly enough the semi-autobiographical film she refers to here, 'The Unloved' (2009), and which she directed. It's about her time growing up in children's homes in Nottingham and is both unique and unforgettable.

Stunning speech 👏🏼 “Representation matters.” That’s why we show up as #CEP, so young people see that they can become anything they set their minds to. “You will have a life beyond what Govt statistics laid out for you because you matter.” You do matter & have so much to offer.

Future generations of care-experienced people will credit this moment as the one which encouraged them to pursue their dreams. It is impossible to describe how it feels to be represented on this level. Younger Samantha Morton would be so proud - and so are we. #CEPexcellence
