Biggest issues Lakers displayed: -offensive stagnation -overhelping off shooters -poor close outs -effort/energy/physicality -defensive counters The physicality/effort piece is what has to be solved first. That box has to be checked for scheme stuff to matter.

Lakers-Wolves was about could the other guys make shots. LAL walled off Ant to make him a passer & Naz, Randle, etc all were on fire. Ant’s passing was great. Luka got going for LA but Wolves were able to prevent anyone else from getting decent looks.MIN was 9-12 on corner 3s!

Also a factor: Lakers had 13 turnovers, 8 were of the live ball variety on Wolves steals. 10 turnovers for Wolves but just 5 steals. 18 points off turnovers for MIN, 9 for LA. Sloppy, stagnant play on O

Edey just got mauled in the paint with no call. If OKC can defend with that kind of whistle all game they are going to cruise

Gotta love the national broadcasts. Show a replay of a wide open made three (in slow motion!) but don’t show the foul that just got whistled where it was questionable what happened

2 things: Lakers ticket prices tend to price out the die hards, especially in the playoffs Lakers didn’t give those in the building much to cheer for in quarters 2-4

I was in the building last night. It was LIT to start, and was loud during the 1st Q. Maybe TV didn’t pick it up well. And the crowd isn’t going to be screaming when the team gives a deflating performance for most of the next 3 quarters. There were PLENTY of die-hards there.
