"Overall survival & quality of life superiority in modern phase Ill oncology trials." Phase Ill onc RCTs are commonly called "positive." But this is usually based on alternative endpoint improvement. Gains in either OS or QOL are uncommon, & exceedingly rare in combo. #ASCO25

This is a major story from #ASCO25. Randomized phase 3 trial of time of day of immunotherapy infusion. Randomized to infusion before or after 3pm. Early infusion far superior: PFS 11.3 vs 5.7 HR 0.42, OS HR 0.45! Impactful, pragmatic, not costly. This should be a bigger story.

Californians pay the bills for the federal government. We pay over $80 BILLION more in taxes than we get back. Maybe it’s time to cut that off, Donald J. Trump.

We are at a crossroads as a nation. Is this really what we stand for? Arresting a sitting U.S. Senator for speaking up on behalf of his constituents? If this is how we treat leaders who try to do the right thing, just imagine how much worse it is for the most vulnerable among us

While US researchers navigate a maze of bureaucracy and endless red tape, teams in China are executing with incredible speed and efficiency. There's a "get-things-done" culture that is leaving the West behind. US is being outpaced, not by a lack of talent, but by overregulation

This trend will only accelerate. Any cutting of NIH or other research funding is pouring fuel on this fire. Slashing research budgets is a critical error that will cement this shift, making our loss of leadership in medical innovation irreversible.

Another day, another leader arrested for speaking up for his constituents. This time it’s NYC Mayoral Candidate and Office of New York City Comptroller Brad Lander Brad Lander Doctor or not, I think we are far past the point of not having an opinion. Courage will be needed for our patients in days to come

When we talk about Medicaid, we often focus on the numbers: the dollars and cents, statistics and spreadsheets. But as a doctor, I've seen that Medicaid’s story is my patients’ stories. That’s why I’m deeply concerned about the looming cuts to Medicaid. youtube.com/watch?v=egJ7yy…
