Today at 🇵🇱 Polish Press Agency’s 'Security of Democracy' debate, I spoke about Belarus’ role in Russia’s war. Without Belarus, Putin could not have attacked Kyiv or blackmailed our neighbors. Freedom for Belarus is part of lasting peace—otherwise, instability will continue in our region.

Spoke at Civitas University in Warsaw about how the war has become Lukashenka’s lifeline. While Ukraine bleeds, he profits—helping Putin, evading sanctions, and crushing dissent. Lukashenka and Putin want this war to continue. Europe must rearm, stay united, and be ready.

More than 220 Belarusians have been convicted for showing solidarity with Ukraine 🇺🇦. Over 1,500 were detained during anti-war protests in February and March 2022, according to Viasna. Detentions continue—but so does Belarusian support for Ukraine, despite the repression.

Our hearts are with Ukraine after another night of terror in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and other cities. Lukashenka’s regime is complicit in Russia's brutal war of aggression. The attacks must end. Ukraine needs bold support, and the aggressors must face tougher, targeted sanctions.

Today, I opened the 4th Conference of the Belarusian Diaspora in Warsaw. We are united by love for Belarus and shared responsibility for its future. To win, we must act: support political prisoners, build strong communities, promote our culture, and hold the regime accountable.

Belarusians in exile are keeping the fight alive. We can’t wait for perfect conditions—they may never come. Instead of despair or excuses, we must act to build communities, form new bonds, share ideas, pass on experience, and preserve our culture. Together, we shape our future.

Belarusian political prisoner, journalist Mikola Dziadok faces new charges. Mikola was arrested in 2020 and sentenced to 5 years. He was due for release in April. But the regime keeps fabricating charges to keep him behind bars – like it does with many political prisoners.

I ended the Conference of the Belarusian Diaspora's main day by honoring what defines us — resilience. Even when silenced or scattered, Belarusians refuse to break. We keep our heads high and our hearts open. We support each other. That’s how we survive. That’s how we’ll win.

Ukraine was attacked with over 300 drones and missiles last night. Civilians were the target. Innocent lives were lost. This is terror, not war. Belarusians stand with 🇺🇦. The response must be strong: more support for Ukraine, more pressure on Russia to end the aggression—now.

In Warsaw, I met participants of the Women’s Political Leadership Academy—leaders who seek to play an active role in shaping the political future of Belarus. Their passion, strength, and commitment inspire hope. Belarus will be free—and these women will help lead the way.

These items tell more than a thousand words. This weekend, I visited the exhibition of personal belongings of Belarusian political prisoners in Warsaw. The world must see what repression looks like. We owe it to every political prisoner in Belarus to keep sharing their stories.
