Indeed, the magnitude and scale of the losses on a family, community, society and national level is staggering all things considered. And to imagine that Nigeria losses the entire population of Luxembourg annually to NCDs is just incomprehensible! Worse still, numbers are rising!

The 1st line of weakness & to fall in resistance were underlying conditions which were mostly NCDs. Not knowing what or when another pandemic will be,there’s an urgency & imperative to prevent, control or manage NCDs in a more robust integrated manner. The time to start is Now!

This would at least be a serious and commendable step in furtherance of the ambitious reform agenda we must pursue urgently and rapidly.
