The first paper out of the newly established Ben Sabari lab, and it's a big one! Published in Cell "Functional partitioning of transcriptional regulators by patterned charge blocks" shows how the IDR of MED1 selectively partitions proteins cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

Excited to share the first paper from my lab. We show that condensates composed of the disordered region of MED1 selectively partition specific functionally related proteins from a complex mixture of biomolecules, regulating gene activation. Free link: authors.elsevier.com/a/1gMr6L7PXiqyW

🚨Postdoc position available🚨. We investigate the role of transcriptional condensates in development and disease. We combine biochemistry, microscopy, and epigenomics to study condensate function. Please connect if you are interested. Please RT. tinyurl.com/2p8upxt5

Checkout the latest work from the lab online today in Molecular Cell where we find that distinct sequence features encoded in IDRs are responsible for targeting proteins to specific condensates. This work was led by Nancy De La Cruz Prashant Pradhan and Reshma T Veettil .

Today, CRI Director Sean Morrison was honored w/ ASH's E. Donnall Thomas Lecture & Prize for his work in hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) biology. For nearly 25 years, his lab has performed paradigm-shifting research that has changed how scientists understand regulation

Congratulations to Liming Du, now on the faculty Shandong Official university, for discovering that increased interferon levels in aging bone marrow remodels the stromal microenvironment around arterioles and contributes to the decline in lymphopoiesis.
