When critics say Labour are going after private schools, what’s actually happening is they’re just making them pay tax. Making them pay tax could raise up to £9 billion. Money that can be redistributed into public services. What is so bad about that?

You have to be richer than almost everyone in the country to ever pay inheritance tax. Even if you own a farm. And if you do own a farm, and are rich enough to pay inheritance tax on it, you still get a massive discount. Why are we giving this protest airtime?

The news that people inheriting land worth at least £1 million will have to pay tax on it has drawn significantly more outrage from politicians and the press than the news that 1 in 3 children in Britain are now living in poverty.

Our ingrained class system has been well at work these last couple of weeks. Peasants worked the land for centuries and it was nicked off them by the ruling classes who wanted it for deer parks and pleasant vistas
