Yesterday we went for a walk through the ravine to collect autumn leaves. Today, we used them to create art depicting fall landscapes! 🍁⛰️☀️

Very proud of all our cross country athletes who ran today! Runners M and J did an excellent job representing Room 210. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Today we made the most of a difficult situation! Our field trip wasn’t able to go ahead as planned so instead we spent time in the ravine building structures, enjoyed a team building challenge in the gym, and finished off the day with math games.

When we came in from morning recess, we discovered we were locked out of our classroom! 🔒 Students solved addition problems which unveiled a code to gain access to our classroom key. 🔑

Today’s math warm-up was shared with us by Diana Hong😺. If an ice cream shop has ten flavours of ice cream, how many different two-scoop combinations are possible?

Today we observed #RemebranceDay. We created a wreath to lay at the assembly and many of our students performed in the choir. Our wreath had poppies, a symbol of peace and remembrance, and maple leaves to represent the country we are proud and grateful to call home. 🍁🇨🇦

We spent our Pyjama Day morning using arrays to find all the factors of 24.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the winter holidays! We built cardboard “gingerbread” houses, made unique ornaments, and enjoyed a class party with yummy treats. 🎄🕎🍿🍪

We painted wood to create winter nature scenes. 🎨 🌅

Today we used nets to create different 3D shapes!

We played a game of geometry headbands! We used yes-or-no questions to determine our shapes and find our partners. 🟪
