NorCal Cardinal wins 12-6 to start the Eric Tryon Invitational in San Diego. Tyler Cody struck out 7 and allowed 1 run in 3 innings for the save.

Finished my summer today with 3 RBI in game 1 and 3 shutout innings (0 H, 0BB, 3 K) in relief in a 0-0 tie. We earned the #1 seed in the Eric Tryon Invitational by going 5-0-1 this weekend. Anthony Gonzales Dan Bugarin

Wildcat Football: 2-0 for the first time in 7 years. Got my first TD in the home opener.

The Franklin Wildcats are 3-0. We beat Bear Creek 42-7 last night. TD #2 and #3 on the season.

Finished the season with a 33-7 win over Cosumnes Oaks. We missed the playoffs, but I’m proud of our season. We finished 6-4 and had a winning record for the first time since 2017.

Congratulations to Tyler Cody on representing the Delta League and winning the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Dale Lacky scholar-athlete award. Tyler is the first Wildcat to win the award. Winners must have a 3.7+ unweighted GPA, be involved in school and community activities, and excel in athletics.

Man this is great to see. There’s a lot of great kids on the Franklin Wildcat Baseball team. Tyler Cody is an incredible example of what you want a student-athlete to be. A 4.3 in the classroom. Fearless competitor. Always puts the team’s needs first. A stud player in the game. Humble. A+
