The 2025 URCA event (ugrad posters) kicked off on April 1 with over 500 posters. The RRS students are presenting nearly 90 posters this year. Below is a subset of RRS students from Session 1 (there are 6 sessions over April 1-2). The University of Alabama

Jules Bates, RRS alum, is a 2025 scholar of the NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship Program. She is a 2023 UA graduate in Chemical Engineering. She was also a Goldwater Scholar at UA! Jules is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at UVa. Congrats Jules! UA College of Engineering

RRS sophomore Alexander Kim earned 1st place in Engineering at UAB’s Undergrad Research Expo for research on E- & N-cadherin expression in breast cancer cell lines under Dr. Mary Kathryn Sewell-Loftin, through an internship from the American Cancer Society! UA College of Engineering
