Rip Mr. Rose. You were my dad's hero. Fun fact: he bought a Porsche from my grandpa's car lot and as part of the deal he had to visit my parents at their home. My Dad was speechless and Mom wanted a picture, of course. Circa 78 or 79 I think...#hitking

Agreed. pH should be of low concern. Personally, I like 5.5-8, just so Al toxicity is guaranteed to be avoided, but 5.0 is more than likely, with most species, not to be of concern.

Shocker alert! Good performing turf in DE tends to have lower M3 extractable K concentrations than what is recommended by traditional soil testing labs. Notice the data points are all bunched up at the lower concentrations! #DEMLSN

Anyone who grew up in the 80's/90's knows how electric and exciting it was before a Tyson fight. If he can still slip punches he should be able to dominate JP.

Dan Potter is a "retired" industry legend who was one of my favorite teachers and mentors during my undergrad at UK. He made learning about insects fun! He hasn't lost a beat! Still witty and funny as ever and a pleasure to have him speak in DE.

Turf twitter question: how would you officially define the phrase "good performing turf"? I don't like the one I have come up with and there's not one in Beard's encyclopedia.

Something that should be commonplace on a golf course, but isn't? I'll go first. A vegetable garden. Especially if food is served in the clubhouse. A small amount of land can crank out tons of food!
