Congratulations to Kevin Chacko (current MS4 UF student)! He was the recipient of our department’s George T. Singleton, M.D. Award for Excellence in Otolaryngology. He matched at University of Miami for his Otolaryngology residency, where he will start in July 2025!

Our rhinology research fellow Avi Adelman took 1st place poster award at ARS for his work on “Silastic septal splints to manage refractory HHT epistaxis” with Dr. Justice! He also presented “Changing epidemiology and outcomes in HPV associated sinonasal cancer” with Dr. Chapurin

The 2nd Annual Dr. Reschly Head & Neck Research Award is given to the resident with the top H & N research project presented at a national meeting. Dr. Christina Palomo wins for her exceptional work on Transoral Submandibular Gland Excision with Dr. Jimmy Brown. Congratulations!

1st Annual Patient’s Choice Award! Dr. Sina Koochakzadeh has consistently been the most praised resident by patients since he was an intern. We have countless stories of patient’s expressing their gratitude for his kindness, bedside manner and willingness to go above and beyond!

H&N Research Fellow Cristina Benites had an incredibly productive year with our H&N Clinical Research Team. She has been part of 20+ projects, had 16+ conference presentations, and is projected to have 10+ publications from her work this year. She is the definition of “machine”!

Dr. Fahad Aldhahri has been ready to operate on his own for months! His work ethic and passion for H&N surgery have pushed him to strive for better and better. He's graduating with over 1000 cases and 200 free flaps. We are proud to call Dr. Aldhahri a Head & Neck Gator!
