What happens to all the fresh food we grow as part of FLORIDA research? Much of it is donated to community food banks. In 2023, UF IFAS WFREC, PSREU, UF_HAEC, NFREC-SV, UF Gulf Coast REC, and UF IFAS Tropical Research and Education Center donated over half a million pounds of potatoes, watermelon, tomatoes, & more.

Big difference in canopy and root system size in potato nematicide trial UF_HAEC. 10 weeks after planting. 2 weeks to vine kill. Sting nematode is the primary target. Often, later in the year differences even out, so it looks like severe sting nematode pressure.

Kicking off the Spring 2024 TCAA Ag. Water Partnership Grower Meeting with a Discussion around Automated Drain Tile. FYI- the only automated tile irridrain system that we are aware of in the State of Florida (and maybe the southeast) UF_HAEC #Innovation #IFAS #Stewardship
