Announcing a new review paper from EcoEnv researchers (et al.) covering the important topic of 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘶 #bioremediation methods for contaminated soils, now available from Frontiers - Microbiology. These methods are typically less expensive & better for the environment! University of Helsinki

A new season of #soundscape monitoring is underway in #Finland as of 1 May! I just swapped out the memory cards & batteries of the recorders in Sipoonkorpi last Saturday, so the first 2 months of data are in hand. Looking forward to hearing them! UH Ecosystems & Environment Research Programme

Initial field work for our MSc student Tifany Chairunisa's project is complete after 3 days in #Lahti city parks! She's testing if #biochar (generously donated by GRK Finland) can reduce the negative impacts of dog urine on urban park soils.
