Student pharmacists and faculty on the Rockford campus took part in the annual Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Medication Collection drive. Residents of Northern Illinois were encouraged to drop off expired and disused medication for proper disposal.

A'Lester Allen, a UIC IRACDA scholar and postdoctoral fellow in the Moore Lab, received the Career Award at the Scientific Interface (CASI) from the Burroughs-Wellcome Fund. A'Lester is the first-ever UIC winner of this prestigious award.
