First up, the winner of the Small Car category is the Renault UK Clio. “So well-polished. Excellent levels of comfort and a high-quality interior and now a degree sharper, too,” Keith Jones “Proof that the supermini isn’t dead, particularly in hybrid form,” Paul Hudson

The Hyundai UK IONIQ 6 has topped the Family Car class in 2024. “One of the best things about the Ioniq 6 is the way everything just works, which is always a bonus in a tech-heavy car,” Rob Clymo “There is nothing else quite like it” Mark Nichol

One of the most fiercely fought categories was Small Crossover, in which the Volvo Car UK EX30 eventually prevailed. “A good-looking compact package with some genuinely sustainable material solutions inside too,” Guy Bird “Great to drive and impressive performance,” Matt de Prez

There’s a new name on the list of UK Car of the Year Awards winners in 2024, with the Fisker Inc. Ocean taking home the Medium Crossover crown. “Everything a cutting-edge EV EUV should be but also at a surprisingly keen price,” Alisdair Suttie
