Some students from Years 9 and 10 are competing in the UKLO Linguistic Olympiad this afternoon. UKLO is a language-analysis competition that develops linguistic skills. Good luck to our students.

Loughborough Grammar School #Classics students had a busy last week of half-term, a visit to London, EMACT_UK Reading Competition and UKLO . Thats after two weeks of mocks and a day Department of Classics & Ancient History, Warwick for the Ancient Drama Festival! Looking forward the new half-term starting today!

Well done to the 60+ The Perse School students who took part in UKLO including our first Y8 pupils participating in the breakthrough level, with Zoe achieving the school's top score, followed closely by Lei & Delana, while Xinxi top-scored in the Y9 intermediate class

Congratulations to the four Y12 students who participated in the United Kingdom Linguistics Olympiad (UKLO). A fantastic effort, and a really tough test. Special congratulations to Sayooj, who scored 79.6% (Gold Award) and has been invited to participate in Round 2.

Well done to the 15 KS3/4 students who took part in the UKLO Breakthrough Exam yesterday afternoon. Students solved puzzled based on different languages (ancient and modern) and all performed admirably (average score 76%). Fantastic effort!

A fantastic total of 18 medals were awarded to The Perse School students in the advanced level of UKLO with Tanvi (Y8) becoming our youngest ever medallist with a Silver. Good luck to Tom, John (both U6) & Sophie (Y9) who are through to Round 2 tomorrow #linguistics

The UK team of four top junior linguists have just brought home their spectacular achievements at the International Linguistics Olympiad: 2 gold, 1 bronze and 1 honourable mention, with the highest average score of any national team, plus 1 team honourable mention! Very well done to all!
