I had the privilege of visiting UK Research and Innovation at their Swindon campus with Heidi Alexander MP . UKRI employ 2,000 workers in Swindon alone and fund a vast swathe of research, from tackling Anti-Microbial Resistance to finding ways to deal with health inequalities and climate change.
