Can vets treat humans??

I spoke about the importance of mental health care in my maiden speech this week. I also touched on the fact veterinary surgeons have a suicide rate of 4 times the national average, and how hard Vetlife work to support the mental health of the UK veterinary profession.

I'm hugely honoured to be appointed Mental Health Spokesperson for the Lib Dems. This is an issue close to my heart. I've lost too many colleagues to suicide. Seeing those around me struggle lead me to be a trustee of a mental health charity for several years. More here ⬇️
