CARB-X will award US$3.96M to UMSOM Center for Vaccine Dev. & Global Health to develop a maternal vaccine that prevents sepsis caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae in newborns & infants. If successful, researchers expect the vaccine may prevent 80-90% of K. pneumoniae neonatal sepsis infections. 🔗bit.ly/3ysebI9
