Two weeks ago, 2/19/ 2024, the Chancellor signed off on a new policy surrounding #UNCG data usage that applies to all students, faculty, staff, and other affiliates. What do you think about this new policy? Check the link so you can read the new policy.

On the eve of a vote of no confidence in the provost, the chancellor sent out an email describing budget challenges at UNCG. I don't think it tells the full story. It actually supports the problem that some faculty see. So, I wrote a blog. bit.ly/43mDCq0.

If these people were actually part of "the UNCG community," they wouldn't be talking about "efficiencies," "reinvesting strategically," and so forth. He's right though: the provost doesn't stand alone. She stands with an expanding layer of bureaucrats destroying the university.

The motion of no confidence in Provost Storrs passed. 181 in favor and 158 against. We are so proud of our faculty for ensuring their voices were heard. #UNCG #SavetheG

The Chancellor's response is disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility and acknowledging the lack of trust in leadership, he chose to downplay the vote. The voting members were required to be present for the duration of the vote, even if they had class. #UNCG #SaveTheG

UNCG should prioritize the academic programs that students value, instead of cutting them.. It's a wild concept but just an idea.

We had so much fun observing the eclipse today with Dr. Aarnio and physics faculty in front of Petty Building! Thank you @AliciaAarnio and Greensboro Student Organization for organizing and getting the word out! It was mostly clear, but Maya took an amazing photo through the few patchy clouds.

Students gathered for a historical moment during the eclipse viewing, despite the astronomy department's program being cut by the Chancellor and Provost - something UNCG didn't show you. Thank you, Dr. Aarnio for an incredible experience
