Last Friday, EOS held its annual Spring BBQ and Awards Ceremony, where several undergraduate and graduate students were honored for their excellence in research, teaching, and service to the department. The BBQ was attended by EOS faculty, students, friends, and family.

Congrats to MS Geo student Madison Gerdes who was awarded the Tom and Bruse Shinn Fund from the NC Native Plant Society. The Tom & Bruce Shinn Fund provides grants each year to support undergraduate and graduate students researching North Carolina’s native plants and habitats.
