UNDOF renovated 3 schools in Al Honoot, Saida & Ain Frikha, Quneitra Governorate to enhance learning environments for Syrian children. On 29 May, the schools were officially inaugurated by HoM/FC, UNDOF, alongside Syrian education officials. #UNDOF #Golan #CommunitySupport

Today, I visited Camp Faouar in the Golan Heights to meet with UN Disengagement Observer Force peacekeepers and Major General Anita Asmah, Head of Mission and Force Commander. I am very proud of their extraordinary work in these challenging times.

Met interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa to discuss UN Disengagement Observer Force & the situation in the Golan Heights. Welcomed Syria’s authorities’ commitment to exercising their security responsibilities in line w/ relevant agreements & int’l law. United Nations Peacekeeping continues to support this vital work.
