[۱/۵] ما در این دوران دشوار و نامشخص در کنار مردم ایران ایستاده‌ایم. تشدید تنش نظامی خطرات جدی برای غیرنظامیان، ثبات منطقه و صلح جهانی به همراه دارد.

[۲/۵] ما عمیقاً نگران گزارش‌ها درباره تلفات غیرنظامیان هستیم و این اقدامات را به شدت محکوم می‌کنیم. غیرنظامیان هرگز نباید هدف قرار گیرند و رعایت قوانین بین‌المللی بشردوستانه باید در اولویت باشد.

[۳/۵] حملات به تأسیسات هسته‌ای غیرقابل قبول بوده و ناقض حقوق بین‌الملل، از جمله اصول منشور سازمان ملل متحد و چارچوب‌های آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی هستند، و خطر آسیب‌های غیرقابل جبران به انسان و محیط زیست را به همراه دارند. این اقدامات باید متوقف شوند.

[۴/۵] تنها راه خروج از درگیری، دیپلماسی است. کاهش تنش و گفت‌وگو، بر پایه حقوق بین‌الملل و در چارچوب روح منشور سازمان ملل متحد، مطمئن‌ترین مسیر برای حفاظت از جان انسان‌ها و حفظ صلحی‌ست که به آن نیاز است.

[۵/۵] همان‌گونه که دبیرکل سازمان ملل متحد گفته است: «تنش‌افزایی بس است. [این وضعیت] باید متوقف شود. صلح و دیپلماسی باید حاکم شوند.» سازمان ملل متحد همچنان از همه طرف‌ها می‌خواهد از درگیری فاصله بگیرند و مسیر گفت‌وگو را انتخاب کنند.

[1/5] We stand with the people of Iran during this difficult and uncertain time. The military escalation poses grave risks to civilians, regional stability and global peace.

[2/5] We express our deep concern and condemnation over the reported civilian casualties. Civilians must never be a target and respect for international humanitarian law must prevail. #NotATaget

[3/5] Attacks on nuclear facilities are unacceptable and violate international law, including the principles of the UN Charter and IAEA frameworks, and risk irreversible harm to people and the environment. They must be stopped.

[4/5] Only diplomacy can offer a path out of confrontation. De-escalation and dialogue, grounded in international law and the spirit of the UN Charter, are the surest way to protect lives and preserve much-needed peace.

[5/5] As António Guterres has said: “Enough escalation. Time to stop. Peace and diplomacy must prevail.” The United Nations continues to urge all actors to step back from confrontation and choose the path of dialogue.

Reports of UNHCR staff leaving Iran are inaccurate. While some UN staff families & a limited number of staff in non-critical positions are being temporarily moved, UN staff-including that of UNHCR–remain in Iran & will continue to deliver in support of people of Iran & refugees.
