180,000 people in #Sudan will soon have water again thanks to a new UN Development + CERF - The UN's emergency fund project to repair infrastructure and install solar panels at 36 water yards in Al Gezira. #RenewableEnergy is enabling practical, durable solutions in one of the world’s most challenging crises.

The catastrophe in #Sudan defies words. Over 2 years of relentless fighting has torn apart lives, and pushed millions into hunger, disease and despair. Photojournalist Giles Clarke visited the country with support from UN Humanitarian and UN Development. Here’s what he has witnessed. ⤵️

Last week, UN Development delivered 6.9 tons of insulin to #Sudan, covering the country’s needs for the next 3–4 months. Procured with funds from the Government of Sudan & in coordination with وزارة الصـحة - السـودان, this delivery supports thousands living with diabetes across Sudan. #HealthForAll


In #PortSudan, 30 journalists attended a training on conflict-sensitive reporting, misinformation & hate speech. Supported by United Nations Peacebuilding, parts of the training will also air on community radio, showing how media can be a force for peace, not division.
