In her opening remarks, Paola Deda of UNECE Forests stressed the need to generate more value from limited resources, calling forests a cornerstone of a circular, low-carbon economy. Achieving this requires investment, supportive policies & strong partnerships.


Technical experts from Food and Agriculture Organization & UNECE highlighted recent developments in advancing the forest-based bioeconomy: 🔸 joint publications 🔸 policy guidance 🔸 capacity-building tools 🔸 contributions to the #G20 Bioeconomy Initiative through expert inputs and metrics development.
