#DYK? Biodegradation = the natural breakdown of chemicals by microorganisms. A new study across 🇪🇸🇬🇷🇩🇪🇸🇪🇨🇭 tested 97 chemicals in 18 river sites ! 🧪🌊 • 95 compounds showed signs of degradation, 2 did not; • Degradation rates varied significantly by location.
