What a year it has been! Looking back at 2023 one of the major highlights was the support World Food Programme received from the govn't of #Zimbabwe's @OMpslsw. 4⃣4⃣0⃣0⃣ metric tonnes of maize were handed over to support more than 12,000 refugees at Tongogara Refuges Camp. 🙏🇿🇼

Our quest to transform self reliance interventions at TRS took us to Chivhu Irrigation scheme where the Vision 30 Accelerator model is being implemented. Farmers utilising 120ha are shareholders in the enterprise. It's an eye opener. We explored if the model can be replicated.

We facilitated market linkages between Seedco and refugees for a secure value chain. We are grateful to Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration for funding that has made the development of an additional 25ha bringing the total of irrigation driven livelihoods projects to 175ha courtesy of the government.

Refugees bring with them skills, potential and talent. Tongogara Refugee Sports Organisation is a multi-disciplinary convener of sporting talent. With support from the government, sports regulatory bodies, Tambai Zimbabwe and UNHCR, refugees excel in sport.#SolidaritywithRefugees
