This morning in Shtime, our HoO Veronika Vashchenko, met w/Mayor Qemajl Aliu to highlight how local level can directly respond to children’s needs. They discussed how municipality is expanding preschool access, advancing youth initiatives & basic health services for children & families




With partners from the Ministry of Finance Labor & Transfers & World Bank working on shared commitment to building a more resilient, inclusive & adaptive social protection system in Kosovo, one that can better respond to the needs of children and families during times of crisis.


Over 3.5 years, the EU and UNICEF Kosovo Programme improved child protection in Kosovo: ✔️ Services for vulnerable children ✔️ Support for children with disabilities ✔️ Peer mediation in schools ✔️ Stronger local systems 🇪🇺 EU remains committed to protecting every child’s rights in Kosovo.


Change happens when we work together. With🇪🇺European Union in Kosovo support, UNICEF & partners reached 10,000+ children, trained 1,600+ professionals & strengthened child protection across Kosovo. We move forward with one goal: every child safe, included & empowered.#ForEveryChild, every right


Mr. Johannes Madsen, Head of Cooperation at the 🇪🇺European Union in Kosovo, expressed gratitude for the partnership w/UNICEF & reaffirmed the EU’s continued commitment. “As the largest donor in Kosovo, the EU takes pride in advancing the protection & rights of the most vulnerable children".
