Behind every effort to reduce reoffending is a belief that people can change, and that societies are safer when they do. At #CCPCJ34 today, the UN Model Strategies on Reducing Reoffending were presented, setting the stage for a new UN standard to strengthen rehabilitation.

I was honoured to join Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev at #CCPCJ34 to keep the spotlight on tackling crimes that affect the environment, and to carry forward the call to action for stronger law enforcement responses adopted at #COP29 as we move from Baku to Belém.
