1/3) In #Kismayo recently, UN Women Somalia's Dr Syed Sadiq met with the Speaker of the Jubaland Parliament, Abdi Mohamed Abdirahman, and other #women parliamentarians and discussed the importance of and how to enhance women's political participation in the upcoming elections.


2/3) While in #Kismayo, UN Women Somalia's @SadiqSyed_ met Ministry of Women FA & HRD - JSS's Minister Adar Ismail Abdullahi and discussed ways to increase #women's participation in #peace and reconciliation processes in #Jubaland and ensure quality services for women survivors of #SGBV.


3/3) @SadiqSyed_'s activities in #Jubaland also included meeting with the #Kismayo Women Network Center to discuss ways for civil society groups to boost advocacy for #peace in local communities and protect #women and #girls from violence, and how UN Women Somalia can support.
