New research presented by Song and Ming Labs suggests that a tiny strip of brain tissue is one of the few bits of the mouse brain to generate new neurons even in adulthood. They believe this process may hold promise for developing #Alzheimers treatments. spr.ly/6016uLAj2

The time has come to announce the speakers for another spectacular Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory meeting on human brain development and 3D models #organoids #assembloids that I have the great honor to organize with Guo-Li Ming Song and Ming Labs Check out the list and mark your calendar

Hear ye! Hear ye! I report on the first direct evidence of a shared origin of inhibitory and excitatory neurons in the cortex using human postmortem brain tissue, for The Transmitter thetransmitter.org/interneurons/c…

Throwback to last year’s phenomenal conference at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on human brain development #organoids #assembloids — a superb gathering for this new field of multi-cellular models of the human nervous system & disease. Thrilled about organizing another edition with Guo-Li Ming

Thrilled to share our new preprint! We leverage GBM organoids and monosynaptic rabies tracing to reveal the brain-wide connectome of this cancer, including a cholinergic neuron-tumor synapse that may fuel GBM invasion. Song and Ming Labs #CancerNeuroscience biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
