A snapshot of two of our interns on our (physically distanced) intern retreat this year! A great time for the interns to rest, relax, and reflect on being a quarter of the way done with PGY1!

More fun and refreshment at URMC Intern Retreat! We had a retrofitted school bus come and hand out individually wrapped ice cream. Hand sanitizer for all! It was delicious! Our interns are GREAT!

Trying a new thing on rounds: index card teaching!!! (We tried “Post-It Pearls” as suggested by Jen Readlynn, MD, FHM (she/her) but our handwriting was too big.) Today, we learned about patterns of liver injury and reminded ourselves how to calculate an R-factor!

Thrilled to see this presented after a few years of hard work! Take homes: ⭐️Give students the option to reflect in whichever way they feel most comfortable 📸🎨🎶📝 ⭐️ Reflective assignments may be best served with a subsequent peer-driven discussion to help foster community
